I've known since September that Southern New England Weddings Magazine was considering our wedding for print, but I didn't want to say anything until I saw it for real. I just got my copies and there we are on page 270.

It was so exciting to see us in a magazine...it was the perfect way to wrap up all the wedding excitement. The fun part is, it was all so unexpected, a few of my vendors recommended us as a featured wedding and then it happened .Of coarse I bought a bunch of copies and mailed them off to family out of state and abroad.

The photo shown is not one in the magazine, but just one a really love, seeing the joy on my mothers face is priceless.

I also want to take this opportunity to wish all the chattybrides a happy and healthy new year! I have enjoyed being part of this site while preparing for our wedding, and I have enjoyed frequenting the site since then. It's a wonderful community!

It's been a while since I've been on chatty's...

Now that our wedding is behind us, I'm planning a 50th anniversary for my parents. Does anyone out there know of any good DJ's. We had a band so I never looked into a DJ. I would love any recommendations...someone who travels to Massachusetts. What's the average cost for a DJ?

Photo shown of my parents when we surprised them with a cake at our wedding for their upcoming 50th. They were shocked! They had a special dance, cut their cake and fed it to each other...something they never did at their small modest gathering 50 years ago.

I'm on a quest and maybe you can help...

The holidays are coming and I want to give people in the wedding and family members a mini pocketbook size MAGAZINE TYPE photo album. I've seen them before at a wedding trade show. I was wondering if any of you know a company that creates them. I'm hoping to keep the cost low, since I want to have a bunch of them made.

I've been wanting to mention my fabulous hair and make-up team: Jane Sincere and Christina Squire.

They were not only talented and professional, but also wonderfully kind and warm ladies! Having them included in the wedding day was so fun! I really felt like they were so genuinely excited and happy for me. I wanted them to stay for the ceremony and wedding...they became instant friends!

I would highly recommend them to anyone out there is looking for hair and make-up!

I just finished writing all my thank you's....my husband is sleeping on the couch with a book across his chest and I'm perusing my small library of photos sent to me by the wedding guests ...of coarse still not one good shot of me and my husband.

I did find one more of me...but then again it's all about the bride, right?
