Stacey and Alex wanted a beachy and casual vibe to their wedding day. They chose Goddard State Park in East Greenwich, Rhode Island to host the wedding. The ceremony took place outdoors in the park right near the water's edge, and the reception was held inside the Carousel building.

The Carousel building was chosen because of it's beautiful architectural details and unique features including stained glass. The beach theme was carried through with sea grass, shells, and oceanic colors used in the centerpieces. Apples and pumpkins were also used as decor, to highlight the autumn season in which the wedding took place.

Ivory and taupe colored linens and dark brown rattan chargers gave a natural ambiance when paired with the seagrass and cats tails. Candles and lanterns gave a warm glow to the room after dark.

Stacey wore a beautiful short dress from David's Bridal and Alex wore a J.Crew Suit. All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen chose their own attire and accessories. How much do you love the argyle sweater vest?!

Ripe Food and Events catered using a variety of seafood, and much of the product was locally harvested and locally grown. They also had a soda bar of Yacht Club soda, a local RI beverage.

For dessert, Alex and Stacey chose Cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake. The Cupcakerie provided unique flavors such as pumpkin, dried cranberry, and caramel apple which were perfect seasonal choices for the October wedding! Taste Testing all of the cupcakes was a favorite aspect of the wedding planning process!

Family and Friends traveled from all over the country, from New York to California and everywhere in between, to be there for Stacey and Alex. A favor of Salt Water Taffy was given for the guests to take home to remember day and to further tie in the beach theme. The guests were invited back to the Biltmore for an after party, hosted by the groom's brother.

Stacey and Alex kept their wedding laid back and casual, reflecting the feel of relaxing on the beach, while using seasonality and simplicity to complete the theme.
