Hey brides!
To honor our deceased relatives, in our case, grandparents, we are making memory candles to be lit and displayed at a special cocktail height table at the reception.
Here is a Step-by-step how-to guide made by yours truly, TDiddy!
(The pic below is from a friend's wedding. I made 3 candles for her with no photos of the relatives. This is the finished look at the reception.) Click READ MORE for the how to steps!

First here are your needed materials. I bought it all from Michael's craft store.

Print out your design on ink-jet vellum

Apply adhesive w/ tape roller to edges of vellum & wrap around cylinder. The apply adhesive to one piece of half inch satin ribbon (or any ribbon) and hide the seam of the vellum.

Then, apply adhesive to the bottom border ribbon. I want a two color bottom border, so I adhere the two ribbons with the tape roll first, THEN stick to the cylinder.

Then, wrap around the candle. I like using the tape roll because it's repositional and you can get the ribbon lined up just right.

Then, use super glue to adhere the last piece together at the seam. Be sure to use a LONGER piece of ribbon needed. That way, you can glue the seam, let it dry, THEN cut the excess neatly with a SHARP pair of cloth scissors.....You need good sewing scissors when dealing with ribbon, because if you use paper scissors, you'll never get a clean cut.

Repeat the process for the top border ribbon.
And there you have it! Finished candle! Light with a LED battery-operated tealight for maximum time to glow. A pillar candle inside the cylinder will not illuminate the whole cylinder.
