My bridal party did a great job throwing my shower this morning! It was lots of fun and the food was great! My best friend Bridget was the organizer and she really out did herself! Her mom made gorgeous centerpieces!

I couldnt be MORE excited to say that we finally (after much deliberation) booked our caterer!!! Laura from Russell Morin's is truly the best out there!! We went for a tasting last night and the food was delicious!!! Laura is incredibly sweet and I must say~tolerant! She had my future father-in-law trying to get her to be his date to the wedding!!! She has great ideas and makes you feel that with her at the healm your day will be PERFECT!! Thats exactly what we were looking for!

Last Sunday was my trial run with hair and make-up. I had my mom & sisters with me and the 4 of us spent the day with Jane Sincere (make-up) and Christina Squire (hair).

It was a great experience. They are so professional, very talented and they have a ton of patience, which is key! I'm one of those girls that need things perfect (god help my fiancé!!!!)

They tired everything I asked, even if it wasn't the best idea, and they would be honest, which I respect and need. I don't confess to know it all, but I am the type to know what I like and don't like.

Lastly, I MUST make mention of Nancy Rodrigues Spirito, owner of Bridal Finery. Knowing I was down from MA spending the day Sunday in RI doing the hair and make-up, she came out of her way to meet me at the salon to show me jewelry samples. Nancy spent the week finding me exactly what I described. Everything she brought was beautiful! Now my jewelry is complete!

I am very picky about my vendors and I must say if anyone out there is looking for the best, then I would highly recommend these women!

I will be the first to admit that I am not a cake 'eater' but more enjoy the 'structural' styles of cakes; it goes without comment that they should be moist and taste delicious!

As soon as I spotted this style I knew it would be the structural design we'd have. I just adore the fun chunky layers of this cake!

We will be using two-inch double satin ribbon around the bottom edging of each layer with vibrant chartreuse hydrangeas, mini-pears and coral/apricot floral accents on top. I collect hobnail white milk glass and have a beautiful hobnail white milk glass pedestal cake stand but will need to find a new one as it needs to be 14-inches across ... so I remain on the hunt!

Here’s the ‘structural’ concept! Each layer will have its own flavor: The top and bottom will be carrot cake with cream cheese filling (our FAVORITE), the second will be a Cappuccino Truffle Torte (Rich chocolate cake with bittersweet chocolate truffle filling and cappuccino buttercream) for our chocolate lovers, and the third a Lemon Raspberry Torte (Vanilla cake with fresh lemon curd and raspberry cream filling) our moms’ favorite! The outside of the cake will be in an Italian buttercream frosting….we love its distinct yet mild creamy-not-too-sweet taste!

I am having a case of guilt...I feel like it is too soon to be having a battle with the in laws. Our guest list is growing out of control by the minute!! We looked at a few venues this past weekend - Towers, Linden Place, Mt Hope Farm and the Branford Mansion in CT - all were nice (Branford Mansion was the front runner) but now my future in laws have presented "their guestlist" and now due to space that nixes some locations....It is my day right? I think I should have final say on the guest list - is it incredibly rude of me to tell them they can't have everyone on their list?

Hi girlies! I'm so thrilled to be a Chatty Bride! Tracy (TDiddy) convinced me to head overe here and I'm so glad I did!

Who is MurphsBride? She is a chica who is head over heels in love with an amazing man and is even more in love with wedding planning! :) I have one semester of college left (my degree will be in Early Childhood Ed.) and besides that I coach a high school cheer team and I am also a substitute teacher in a fully inclusive preschool!

For giggles Mr. Murph & I love to spend time with our friends & family, traveling, good wine, movies, taking my pup Kada to the dog park, the beach, photography, and shopping (well ok, maybe that's just me who enjoys that...).

I know, I've been on fire for the last 2 days!!!!!!

I made some cool circular stickers for our candy bags!! I havent purchased the bags yet, but I'm gona get white lunch-bag style paper bags.

Here are the step by step instructions!!!

The circles are 2.85 x 2.85 (draw a circle, then couble click. Customize the size that way)

Then, I made smaller circles with a dotted line. I just dragged the line & eyeballed the size on these.

Then, like my BM cards, I used a series of overlapping textboxes in word. I used no fill or line color so they'd be transparent. Again, I've never paid for fonts. I use Word for Mac and some of them came with the program & some were downloaded from www.dafont.com. The fonts I used in order of appearance:
1) Freak
2) American Typewriter Condensed
3) BlairMd
4) Bickley Script
5) Engravers MD
6) Freak
7) Edwardian Script.

I printed onto Sticker Paper from Staples!!! (GREAT product!)

I used my circle punch (a little under 3 inches) to punch the perfect circles! I would NEVER cut them!! Not in a million million years!

Today is super humid and some of my paper stuff I made yesterday felt gross today! Yucky!

So, my tip is STORE YOUR PAPER goods in plastic zip-locs until the wedding! If you don't have central air, your paper products will get gooey & warped from the humidity!
