So, now I'm even more excited about our upcoming wedding, as I just booked our honeymoon!! I had originally fallen in love with the Cozumel Palace in Cozumel, Mexico, but after searching non stop, I was a little leary of booking it because although it is directly on the ocean, it does not have a beach, just a retaining wall with a walkway. Then, I was told that the diving is incredible around the area, but a few local experts that I called said there was a lot of drift diving. (Meaning you'd end up far away from the boat if you don't navigate well- which I'm not an expert at.) So, I looked into the idea of a cruise, but for our wedding date, July 19th, there are not too many choice crusies leaving on the 20th. Many would require the airfare to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, which is currently running about $400!
I had taken a liking to the "all inclusive" Mexico idea, so after reading a comment that AllyLynn left about the Riviera Maya, I checked out Cancun more. I had only looked around their hotel zone, and it seemed a bit pricier than Cozumel. So, I started searching the all inclusives in the Riviera Maya, and came across a brand new hotel called the Ocean Coral & Turquesa. Funny thing, I loved the decor, but it was not getting great reviews across the board. People were complaining that the service was slow, and the place was understaffed. (It just opened December of 2007!) While I was a bit concerned, I decided that by July, the place should have it's kinks worked out, and my hubby and I will be spending a week relaxing on the beach and enjoying the in room jacuzzi. As far as the service goes, we'll just go into it with a smile, $100 in one dollar bills, and hope for the best.
OH- I have been told that although tipping is included at all inclusive resorts, even an extra dollar or two here and there REALLY make a difference. But bring dollar bills, because it can get tricky to look for a place to cash fifties or even twenties in other countries.
We know we'll plan at least a day of SCUBA diving, and we'll check out some of the ruins not too far from the town.
I hope everyone's honeymoon plans are coming along- I just want to RELAX, eat, drink, and enjoy my new hubby!
I've attached some pictures of our destination!

Hey All,
So i previously DIY my bard box in the shape of a Tiffany Box. Well since then FI and have scrapped that idea. I need to make a new card box. I am thinking about doing one of the photo frame ones i see on the Knot all the time.
I just don't know how to do it! Anybody that could help, i will love you forever. I'm talking about the one that has four frames as the box, and sits on a lazy susan.
TIA

Hey All!
I'm really looking forward to another night out with all of you- it'll be lots of fun!! So I've got a few questions............ we'll be having a DJ for our wedding, and I'm trying to work out the song lists. However, I would have thought that "our song" would just come to me, but now I'm second guessing "Everything I do" (Bryan Adams). I LOVE the song, and I have since the 7th grade, but when you look at all the words, it's like what? It's the one that we're going with as of now, but who knows what's going to change before the big day! Did any of you stress over your first dance song?
Secondly, I had it all figured out that my dad and I would dance to "Wind Beneath my Wings," until I heard it as the father/daughter dance at my fiance's cousin's wedding just a few weeks ago. Would this be ok if I still use the song? Should I ask her first if I can use it? I know it's not copyright, but it feels a bit odd. Ironically, the mother/son dance at their wedding was "Because you loved me," the same one I think my fiance' was going to use! What are the odds??! They have good taste! :)
We have two more family weddings to attend before our big day, and I'm worried that I will be stepping on toes if I happen to have chosen any of the same songs. I had already heard that one of my cousins was dancing to "My Wish" with my aunt, (at least I think that's still the case) so that was elimated a couple of months ago because of my previous thoughts about it all. But after the wedding a few weeks back, I'm starting to realize that whatever I may be planning, someone else may be planning the same thing too. And I'm OK with that, but I don't want to come off as a copycat.
I think I'm just going to work on getting my fiance' to agree to the wedding dance that I had posted. Any suggestions besides Big Butts?
Last thing...... would you be offended if someone you knew had the same song played for the same dance? I wouldn't be, but I'm just trying to get an idea how thin the ice would be if I do........
