Hello all! So I'm still not feeling like an official chatty bride yet, cuz I'm not that chatty!! Hopefully as I get more into planning and closer to my date, I will have more to talk about. So I wanted to make my own invites... (I'm a crafty and controlling girl, so how could I pick a premade one?) I was originally thinking pocketfolds, until I found the bio of knot girl "happysigh." I can't figure out how to put the link in here, so.... yeah.
I was inspired to do something like it, so off I went to the craft store yesterday, to get some mock up supplies. Here's my first attempt. It's a little sloppy since I wasn't using the paper cutter, and I will change "honor" to honour, and "evening" to afternoon. I have to make the font a darker blue since you can barely see it! And it'll be slightly ivory paper, not my bright white printer paper haha. Other than that, what do we think!?

Today is 99 days till our wedding! YEAH we FINALLY made it to double digits! When we first got engaged we had 562 days till the wedding…so every milestone (400, 100 etc) has been super exciting to us….but this so far has been the most exciting!
Sorry I’ve been such a bad chatty lately. We’ve been so busy with wedding plans and work has been crazy!

Where did everyone find had the best selection of dresses in MA and RI? We've been to Sassy & Classy & Bridal Garden in East Greenwich, RI so far and they had a good selection. My mother really likes Mon Cheri dresses and I know some of the chattys' moms bought them too!

WE HAVE OUR CAKES!!!! That’s right I said cakes! Included in our package w/ our venue we had the choice of using the following three cake vendors: Konditor Meister, Montillo’s and The Icing on the Cake. I was most excited about tasting all three of these places!
Our first stop was Konditor Meister. Boy was that a disappointed! Not a good way to start off our series of cake tastings. I was looking forward to but also stressed at the same time about our next appointment, which was Montillo’s. But of course, we got another one of the infamous snow storms that we’ve had to deal with this winter. So I had to cancel. It was a tough decision for me to make but for Mr. ESE he said he would prefer to live than taste cake. MEN! Where’s there sense of adventure!? So far 2 out of 3…whatta disappointment. So you can imagine the anticipation I had for The Icing on the Cake! What were we going to do if we didn’t like it?! UGH! But we were PLEASANTLY surprised when we met with Paula at The Icing on the Cake. She sat down with us, I showed her my word document that had pictures of various cakes I had seen through out my research and when Mr. ESE and I told her our love for multiple smaller cakes, she was soooo excited and LOVED our idea! So we are now the proud couple of 5 wedding cakes!!!! Yep, you read that right, 5 wedding cakes!!!
We will be having the following:
2 1 tiered cakes with one being mocha filling with chocolate cake and the other being a raspberry white chocolate mousse filling with yellow cake.
2 2 tiered cakes with a yellow cake and white chocolate mousse filling and a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and a marble cake with either a white chocolate or chocolate mousse filling.
1 3 tiered cake with the above cake flavors as the two tiered. Paula calls this our “Showcase Cake”.
All the cakes will have a white buttercream frosting on the outside with various patterns and flat pressed gerber daisys randomly strewn on the tiers of cakes.
All of these will be on cake stands. For the 1 tiered cake, I have purchase 2 10” cake stands, for the 2 tiered cakes I have purchase 2 13” cake stands (both of these I will be posting later) and I am on the HUNT for 1 14” cake stand (this is proving to be a difficult task….for any chatties/non chatties who come across a 14” cake stand, can you give me a shot! I would owe you BIG time!)
So now onto the REALLY fun stuff! Our cake toppers!!!!!
Of course I turned to etsy (where else would I turn! I mean really, I heart that website so!) I had actually seen this artist on OnceWed and thought to myself, these would be oh-so-magical cake toppers. So I purchased 4 of these SUPER UBER CUTE HOORAY cake toppers from etsy artist SoInviting! AND they came in my colors! It was fate I tell ya….
