Hi All! So I wanted to share with you a fun thing I came across back in December 2008. I was at a bridal show and I ran into my Best friends, friend who was on this New England based Reality Bridal TV show called Iron Brides. She talked me into auditioning, even though its soo not me to be on TV, because she had so many amazing experiences just from being picked to be on the show. I got chosen to be an alternate. Its been a fun and exciting experience going through the whole process! I urge you to check it out! They will be auditioning for the RI based Season coming up!

Ladies, any thoughts on where I could find paisley tablecloths to rent for my reception. I absolutely LOVE paisley and would love to somehow incorporate it into my wedding theme. I"ve seen in a lot of wedding magazines really pretty table clothes. I hadn't considered anything other than white, but now I'm very intrigued. The walls of the reception hall are a pretty mint green, and although I like the color, I know I have to be careful with what I match with it. I was also thinking, if not tablecloths, perhap napkins, wedding invitations, chargers for the table, or having the bridesmaids wrap the stems of their flowers with paisley ribbon. I dont want to go overboard. Any suggestions?

So I've been on here for quite awhile now and never shared my ring! It is designed by Scott Kay. He bought it from my grandmothers Jeweler in Boston. Joseph Gann Jewelers (387 Washington Street, 4th Floor, Downtown Crossing Boston, MA 02108 www.josephgann.com). My grandmother gets most of her jewelry from him and has been for most of her life. As a little girl she started a build a pearl necklace for me and my female cousins. Every year at our birthday she would add pearls and then complete the necklace by the time we reached 21 years of age. She had this done at Joseph Gann Jewelers and I plan to wear that necklace on my wedding day so it was only fitting when my FH purchased my engagement ring and my band from there. My set are both the Contemporary Crown Settings by Scott Kay done in 19K Yellow Gold. I have three round diamonds and nothing on the band. I have small fingers so anything more on the band looks aweful on my tiny thin fingers. My FH did a great job in picking out my Engagement Ring and I get wait to see my matching band! :-)

Has anyone booked a trolley in the New Bedford area? Does anyone know of a good company to rent one from?

I am so excited, my wedding is 6 months from yesterday!!!! Now I am on the hunt for invitations. This is another area I want to save some money on. I have heard DIY invitations are not worth the hassle and I have found some online sites that are not too expensive. Anyone come across a good invitation website or ordered their invitations online?

Once I get them I will have to figure out how to make sure the addresses are legible, not sure who has worse handwriting my fiance or me!

So we did a shoot with our photographer back in May but it was a last minute thing and it rained, and we didn't LOVE the pictures so we went and did another go around more prepared in October and the pictures came out great! What do you think?

Hi Ladies ! I wanted to share with you how I asked my girls to be my bridesmaids. I wanted to do something different, something a little more creative. So, I found this great little coffee table book called "You Can Wear it Again: A celebration of Bridesmaids' dresses". It's a funny little book of hilarious bridesmaids dresses. Inside the book, I left a note saying "I can't promise you a hideous bridesmaid dress, but I can guarantee we'll be friends forever. Our friendship means the world to me, will you be my bridesmaid?". I then packaged them up and mailed them individually to all the girls. I went back and forth between mailing or doing it in person, but I knew I wouldnt see all the girls around the same time and I wanted to ask all of them at once, so I thought this was a great alternative. I worried it was impersonal to do it via the mail, so I wrapped them up cute, then in brown paper and wrote on the outside package "A little mid-week surprise!". It was very well received by all and I got a lot of compliments for my creativity!
