If you've ever asked yourself if you were a Carrie or a Charlotte (or in my case, a Samantha), you're in for a new treat. Greenvale Vineyards has a new test to determine which varietal you would be if you were a wine. When I took it, I actually matched up with my favorite kind of wine, a cab. Go figure. I wonder what Samantha would be...
Click here to take the test for yourself. Cheers!

Hey ladies! Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Shoesday. This week we are taking a closer look at Emmy a small company that sells bridal shoes out of the UK. They are classic yet fun, and most importantly, totally customizable. Like one aspect of a shoe, but wish it was another color or heel height or toe shape? Just ask. We love this individualized company that gets that one size never fits all. Scroll down to see some of our favorites.

In the spirit of always keeping things interesting, we are exploring boudoir photography today. Sara Zarrella of Sara Zarrella Photography shared some of her favorite sessions and some tips on how to do it with style.
* Sara highly recommends professional makeup and hair be done before the session. You want the photos to look like you... Just a little spicier. It may cost a bit more, but if you are going to do it at all, do it all the way.
* You do not have to raid every Frederick's of Hollywood and Victoria's Secret in town, she shares. You should bring "staples" like black and white underwear and bras, and then one or two of your favorite peices to round it out.
* In regards to letting go of your body issues, Sara says its paramount to feel comfortable with your photographer. She is a professional who knows lighting, angles, and touch-ups like nobody's business. She usually tells her subjects to pretend that their flaws don't exist during the session. She points out, "Everyone has flaws. If they are self-conscious it'll show on their face, and that's something you can't edit out."

I think that we are all in agreement that if possible, working with a local stationer to design your wedding suite of paper products is the best choice. They will work with you to get exactly the look and feel of the occasion out to your guests while keeping it all original, sophisticated, and "you". That being said, however, sometimes you just need some cute catch-all stationary to write a quick thank you to a vendor or bachelorette party invites. Enter Mara-Mi. This cute line of go-to stationary is a new product at Target. And we are liking what we see. Fresh, clean, and colorful, anyone would be glad to find one of these pieces in their mailbox.

I want to ask any of you other brides out there if you've been like me. I'm a super detail oriented bride and with two years still left to go I feel like I need to have everything done. I want it all done yesterday. I'm trying to pace myself but I have some many ideas I love that I can't stop. Am I crazy to be doing things this far in advance or just planning well and closer to the wedding I'll be happy I did all this stuff early?

When we get overwhelmed, we often lean on our significant other for support. Being a good team, you know that where you fall short, the other person will pick up the slack and vice versa. But weddings tend to muck up that routine. Brides will often be left with the majority of stress and responsibility of planning an event that involves both your family and friends, and it can cause some serious pre-marital strife. Here are a few tips on ways to get your future Mr. more involved in all of the splendid details.
Note: This is by no means a comment on all grooms. Just the under-involved ones.
1. Don't take his lack of matrimonial motivation personally.- Many men have the notion that all of us gals have been sitting around planning this day out since we were kids (Where did that myth come from anyway?), and they'll just be in the way if they add in their two cents. Its okay to tell him that just because your Barbies had an amazing wedding if you may say so yourself, doesn't mean you already know what florist/photographer/DJ/caterer you will use. And his input would be invaluable.
2. Don't get upset if, while planning the budget, he gets overwhelmed.- Come to the table prepared with comparison pricing from local vendors-- something in black and white that he can wrap his head around. There are a ton of budgeting tools available on many wedding websites like theknot.com that can help by breaking it all down for you.
3. Delegate responsibilities.-- Do you really want the added stress of making sure all of your vendors get paid on time? Maybe that would be a good task for him to take off of your to-do list. Or organizing the logistics of transportation and lodging for all of your guests. That'll keep him plenty busy.
4. Keep a list/calendar/ graph/pie chart/T table/abacus/whatever.- Using visual aids will help both of you see how much progress you've made and how much still has to be done. Its motivating and encouraging for both of you, and it will show if one of you is falling behind in your tasks and needs help from the other. Teamwork!
5. Remember that this whole day is about the two of you.-- Keeping your communication strong, your love for each other thriving, and your sense of humor intact through the wedding planning process will be challenging. But there is a reason you got this far. Taking time away from planning every so often and refocusing on one another is a great way to remember that.

Happy Tuesday Shoesday to one and all! Today we are sharing a funky shoe that commands attention. The Sadi pump by Nina is satin with beaded and sequin detailing. It's a fun choice for a bride that is comfortable in sky-high heels (heel is 4 1/2 inches, platform in 1 1/2 inches), and still fits comfortably into any budget. Sadi comes in different color options such as black or silver, but we think the cutest is a tie between the white and the pink (both shown below). What do you think? Too much? Or just enough?
Available at Zappos.com for $129
